A310 C-GRYD taxies past in the rain

ROYAL AVIATION was founded in 1991 and fell victim in 2001 to the turmoil and takeovers in Canada. When Air Canada (finally) succeeded in taking over Canadian Airlines, Canada 3000 moved for Royal Aviation.
Homebase was Montreal-Dorval, (Québec), but one could find Royal Aviation all over Canada and in Europe, as the photos clearly show. Its callsign was ROY and used the prefix QN or ROY for its flightnumbers.
A310-304 C-GRYD is seen here at a very wet Toronto in 1998. Royal operated 4 A310-304s.

Transavia leased 757-236 C-GRYK (msn25593/466) during the summer of 2000, because of delays in deliveries by Boeing of the 737-800s. It is seen here on finals into Amsterdam Int'l in June 2000.

727 C-FRYS shows off her modern winglets

Royal Aviation operated 2 727s, one of which with Valsan hushkits and winglets: C-FRYS (cn21349/1289). It sits her at the rainy ramp of Toronto's Lester B Pearson Int'l Airport (YYZ). The weather reminded me much of home...

Royal A310 in dual livery

A310-304 C-GRYA (cn448) is seen here at Paris Charles de Gaulle Int'l Airport on june 24th, 2001. Canada 3000 made haste with showing the name of the new owner. Royal operated 4 A310-304 for long range flights next to 2 Lockheed Tristars.
