Yak-42D T9-ABD (c/n 4520422016201) is seen here at Amsterdam IAP on 14Aug02.

A very young company from a young country, but the airline did not make it...
Air Bosna was transitioning from Russian equipment, such as this fascinating Yak-42 manufactured in 1990, to McDonnell-Douglas MD-81 equipment of which they operated one (T9-AAC) when the inevitable plug was pulled due to mounting debts.
There is talk about a restart.... The following was published on "CH-Aviation Newsletter" (by Thomas Jaeger, 29May04): "Air Bosna (JA/Sarajevo) is planning to resume operations in July with an ex-KLM uk ATR 72-200 serving Amsterdam, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, Istanbul Ataturk and Rome Fiumicino from its base in Sarajevo. It is considering adding a second aircraft of the same type in October. It had suspended its operations with a single MD-81 in September 2003."
