Skyways (JZ, Stockholm Arlanda-ARN) and its sister carrier City Airline (CF, Gothenburg Landvetter-GOT) filed for bankruptcy and suspended operations on 22May2012.
Both carriers were owned by Mansvell Enterprises, controlled by Ukrainian business man Igor Kolomoyskyi - just like Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg (SGD)) which had been forced to file for bankruptcy at the beginning of the month...
Skyways used 11 Fokker 50s, operated by Avia Express (Stockholm Arlanda - ARN)), mainly on domestic routes in Sweden and international routes to Denmark and Norway.
City Airline operated 6 ERJ-145s and 2 ERJ-135s from Gothenburg Landvetter (GOT) to Luleå Kallax-LLA, Lyon St. Exupéry-LYS, Manchester Ringway Int'l-MAN, Prague Ruzyne-PRG and Zurich (Kloten-ZRH).
