Founded by British Airways in 1992, "Deutsch BA Luftfahrt" was one of the first 'low cost airlines' in Europe.
The 2002 fleetlist showed 16 Boeing 737-300s.
In March 2002 it was renamed 'DBA Deutsche BA'.
At various times it was put up for sale by British Airways: easyJet, Germania and Hapag-Lloyd showed interest but declined to put up a definite takeover bid. In 2003 it was bought by a consulting firm, named Intro I believe.
It was again renamed 'DBA' (or 'Fly-Dba') in 2004.
